  • Take a look back at some of our favorite moments in April from Therapy Services!🌷☀️ Eiden is a happy 14-month-old who enjoys playing with bubbles, beads and musical toys. He practiced standing balance using a yoga ball in physical therapy!🎵 12-year-old Noni was discharged from her inpatient hospital stay after 29 days following brain surgery. She is transitioning at home where she will continue outpatient therapies to focus on getting stronger. Her goal to get back to one of her favorite sports- volleyball! Keep up the great work, Noni, we are so proud of you!🏐 Mira and Bella became friends when they were both learning to stand and walk more independently. They work together by taking steps towards each other for motivation! Their excitement to be around each other continues to help motivate them towards improvements in physical therapy.👭

  • We are honored to share six-year-old Jonah's story during National Pediatric Transplant Week. After months of waiting and spending 143 consecutive days in the hospital, Jonah received the gift of a new heart! Thanks to the selfless gift of life provided through pediatric donation and transplant, Jonah is thriving. To commemorate his discharge home, the Heart Center team sent him off in style with a clap out celebration. Join us in celebrating Jonah and all the pediatric transplant recipients who have been given a second chance at life!❤️

  • The early developmental period for any child is critical. That’s especially true with autism spectrum disorder. This is also why keeping up with primary care checkups is so important. Pediatricians aren’t just checking in to see how children are growing physically, they’re also looking at developmental milestones. Depending on what pediatricians see, they might recommend a child undergo an assessment for autism spectrum disorder.

  • Raymir is a sweet 4-year-old boy who loves construction trucks, cars and bubbles! He was diagnosed with IMAGe Syndrome as an infant. IMAGe syndrome stands for Intrauterine growth restriction, Metaphyseal dysplasia (or other skeletal abnormality), Adrenal hypoplasia congenita and Genitourinary abnormalities. In physical therapy, Raymir is working on standing balance, taking steps, trunk strengthening and control, and transitions. He is making amazing progress!👏
